Letter to my Soul

Do you think it was effortless in the beginning? Do you think I found it easy? Do you think it all worked out perfectly? Of course not. But I had faith that everything would begin to harmonise, and that it would work out perfectly in the end.

Dear Soul,

Why do I keep choosing struggle over ease?

Love, Michelle.x

Dear Michelle,

Because you are human. And you have been for a very long time. Struggle is encoded into your very DNA.

But DNA can be changed. Can be re-coded. It all comes down to changing you thoughts, your beliefs of struggle. The struggling, starving artist, in your eyes, creates better art, do they not? You have said on many occasions that you do not create when you are happy – you create when you are hurting, when you are sad, when you are miserable.

It is in these moments that you can express your darkest feelings and pains – and in expressing these you connect with others who are also in that space. But that doesn’t mean that you have to always be in that space. Or if you do need to sit in the darkness at times – it needn’t be for long periods of time.

Time to yourself is so important. Cut off, switch off, be still, be with yourself. It is good for you. You used to sit on the beach and watch the waves, with no thought of needing to do something else, or be anywhere else. You would just be there.

Do not resist the struggle. Experience it, express it through your words, share your thoughts with others. You have no idea how many people have found comfort in your pain, because it is their pain also.

Write from your heart. Write from me, your soul. Write whatever the hell you want. Do not censor yourself. Do not hide.

If you are thinking it, chances are, thousands of other souls are thinking it too.

Just say it. Say it well.

Love the struggle, it’s your friend.

Love, your other friend,

I wrote this letter a while ago, not long after I wrote my first letter to my soul. I just found it in a notebook and felt the need to share it. Why not have a go at writing to your soul? You may be surprised by the reply. xx

Matrix Reimprinting

This week, I have been reading Matrix Reimprinting Using EFT: Rewrite Your Past, Transform Your Future, in my bid to read a book a week. I’ve had this book on my Kindle for quite a long time now, and I’m glad that I finally got to read it.

I have used EFT many times over the last few years, and have benefited greatly from it. In this book, it’s not just about using EFT to release emotions or fears, but to actually rewrite scenes or moments in the past that have had an effect on you throughout your whole life. The idea is, that by energetically rewriting these scenes, these experiences, you can actually change your beliefs or emotions in the present day that were created from that experience.

I have tried it out a couple of times so far, and each time it has led me to another scene that I had forgotten, that had such a strong charge that I would get emotional. I will continue to work on each thing that comes up, and once I have had a bit of practice with the basic technique, I can then move onto the more complicated ones.

Though I haven’t had much time to see whether it makes a difference yet, I do know that there are many instances of things that happened in my childhood which have affected me later on. It is believed that everything that happens in our lives up until the age of 6 or 7, will shape our views and experience of the world when we’re adults. Even really minor incidents at that time can cause problems later on.

It will be interesting to see what long-term effect doing the reimprinting has, and if I notice any major differences, I will write another post about it in the future. But if you have tried EFT before and found it to be effective, then I would recommend getting a copy of this book and trying it out yourself.

The Tapping Solution Movie

Just this evening I watched The Tapping Solution. It’s being shown free on the net until the 20th of December. It’s really a must-watch. Even if you know all about EFT, or Meridian Tapping, it’s still worth watching. Why? Because unless you actually use these tools, they’re pretty useless! Which is something that’s really been hitting home with me just recently. I have read so many books, watched so many videos, spoken to so many people. I know what tools to use to improve different parts of my life, I know how to be healthy, I know what is good for me and what isn’t. So why do I still remain stuck in the past at times? Why do I keep thinking the same thoughts? Keep running the same patterns?

Because it’s easier than implementing the processes and tools and actually changing. That’s why.

It’s easier to be broke and miserable than it is to be abundantly wealthy and happy. Because to be those things, it takes work. It doesn’t just happen. You actually have to use the methods that you know work consistently to get results. And therein lies my sticking point. Consistency. I have no routine to my life, no real structure. I work from home, I am my own boss (though I do have clients that at time set deadlines I need to stick to). I don’t have to be up at a certain time, I don’t have to worry about feeding anyone except myself and my partner (and he will testify to the fact that when I’m in the middle of something, I don’t notice it’s past lunchtime until it’s 2 or 3pm).

So how to implement a routine when you don’t need to?

Haven’t figured that out yet! But I have found a way to remind myself to use the tapping –

Yup, I have written it on the wall above the sink where I brush my teeth. So at least twice a day, I will tap about anything that is bothering me. I already did that this evening and ended up with a big grin on my face! So watch the movie, the link is here – http://thetappingsolution.com/screening/ts-film.html then write on your walls and release all of the beliefs and the pain and anything else that is holding you back.

By the way, I am no expert, but I have seen the benefits first-hand from tapping. In fact, I blogged back last year about how I used EFT to rid myself of my fear of public speaking. If you try it and see some benefits yourself, comment below, if you tried it and it didn’t work, still comment! Happy Tapping 🙂
