Duelling Poets – Coming Soon!

In the summer of 2012, I duelled with another poet, Victor Keegan, for 30 days. each day, we chose a topic to write about, and then wrote a poem each. We took it in turns to choose the topics, and they got pretty random at times! Now, a mere 8 years later (!) we are finally ready to release those poems, and we are asking that you, the reader, choose the winner!

The poems are not credited, so you simply read them all, tick the boxes under your favourites, then tally up the points at the end. Then you can declare your winner on Twitter, using the hashtags #duellingpoets and either #michellewinstheduel or #victorwinstheduel

The book will be available to buy as a paperback and on Kindle, from the 20th February 2020.

Cover Reveal for Book 10

I promised to reveal the cover for book 10 soon, and here it is! The book is now finally finished, and it is being edited at the moment, which is cutting it a bit fine to make the 1st July publishing date, but I promise I will not be letting you down! I finished writing it nine years and a day after I finished writing The Earth Angel Training Academy, and I will be publishing book 10 on the 7th Anniversary of the publishing of book 1. I like a bit of symmetry!

Book 10 is the last book in the Earth Angel Series for the foreseeable future. If the story for book 11 arrives, I will of course write it, but I feel that this book brings all the stories full circle, and as sad as I am to say goodbye to my characters, I have so many more book projects awaiting, I am excited to be able to expand the Visionary Collection and to finish writing my children’s series too.

I cannot wait to see what my readers think of book 10. I have been calling it the marmite of the series, because I think it will either be loved or hated… I really enjoyed writing it (despite the resulting RSI!) and I hope you agree it’s the perfect ending to rather a wild adventure we have been on for the last 7 years. (9 years for me!)

How do the covers make you feel? The US cover came from a design I originally considered for book 9, but I loved the circle of fire, and the feeling of completion it gives. Let me know your thoughts in the comments!

Camp NaNoWriMo, Title Reveal & Instagram!

On the 31st July 2015, I hit 50k words, and won Camp NaNoWriMo! It’s been a very busy month of travelling and working, so I was very pleased to hit my target, despite being so far behind on my wordcount earlier that week. The story wasn’t quite finished at that point, so I continued writing and I finished it at the 54k word mark just yesterday.

As a winner of Camp NaNo, I received my certificate, and by posting it here, I am revealing the title of the new book, which came to me during a mediation on the last day of Camp.

I had hoped to stay away from using yet another word beginning with ‘re’ for the title, but this word is perfect to describe the theme of this book. As usual, when I began writing it, I had no idea what was going to happen, so the original title I chose just didn’t quite fit when I finished writing.

The editing will begin soon, and I will publish it by October, though if possible, I will publish it sooner. I also want to start writing my next book, I have so many books flying around in my head, impatiently waiting for me to write them!

Yesterday, encouraged by my editor and awesome Angel friend Liz, I started using Instagram. I had tried to use it a while back and just didn’t get how to work it! But I think it makes more sense to me now, and I have posted a few pictures on there so far, I plan to post more on a regular basis. Please do check out my profile and follow me! I will follow you back 🙂

Cover Reveal for The Twin Flame Reunion!

Drum roll please!!

I am ready to reveal the new cover for my latest book, The Twin Flame Reunion:

The review at the top is a bit of fun, and I am undecided on if it will feature on the actual cover of the print copies, but it will hopefully make people chuckle!

I have also just uploaded the details to Amazon, and very soon the Kindle edition will be available for pre-order, with the release date set for the 21st December! I am very excited, and need to get into serious editing mode. The problem is, it’s the 1st November, and I am just itching to start the next Twin Flame book and write it during Nanowrimo! It’s just so tempting…

Oh well, I am still going to the Brighton Nanowrimo kick off party, as it is happening just down the road from me. Must get into my Nano t-shirt and don the viking helmet… Have a great evening!

The Twin Flame Reunion

I have been struggling lately to find the time and energy to write my latest novel, which I have decided to call – The Twin Flame Reunion. Usually when I have trouble writing, it’s not just a case of lack of time or energy, but an underlying reason, that until I sort it out, it just doesn’t happen. This time, I think it is simply that this book is really important. It’s important to me, to my readers, and to everyone who is in the position where they have met their Flame, or are waiting to meet their Flame. There is so much that I want to include in the book, to bring comfort to the Earth Angels I know are hurting, that the pressure of getting it right then makes me freeze up.

Which is when I remind myself that I must trust. Trust that my angels, my guides will help me to write exactly what is needed. They have not let me down yet, and so I need to just let go of the pressure I feel and just allow the words to flow. The structure of the book is becoming more defined daily, and the stories of the Flames are intertwining beautifully. Although I will be cutting it fine (and asking a lot of my editors, beta readers and cover designer) I do plan to release the book by Christmas, and plan to set up the pre-ordering system on Amazon from the 1st November. I am also releasing two Kindle boxsets, one of the four books in the Visionary Collection, and then the first three books in the Earth Angel series.

I have other projects in the works too, including getting The Earth Angel Training Academy recorded as an audiobook and also translated into other languages. As I am doing it all myself (the joys of being an Indie!) these things will take a bit of time but I am confident that now the ball is rolling, things will start to happen.

I have been asked a question for the oracle cards, so I plan to record the reading this week and post it on youtube, I will keep you all posted of new developments!
