Happy 2016!

Hello beautiful soul!

Just wanted to wish you all the best of everything you wish for in 2016. I took some time out over Christmas and New Year, and that little bit of extra head space has allowed all sorts of mad and wonderful ideas to pour in, and now I am in need of creating a plan to action them! Some of them are already in process, and I know that others will need crazy deadlines in order to become a reality. I have new characters and stories running around in my head and lines of dialogue where there should be rational thought. So despite my decision to hold back on writing and publishing in order to focus on the marketing and other work, it appears that the Universe has completely different ideas!

2015 was indeed an interesting year, and to summarise, I published two more books in the Earth Angel series, I worked in Scotland briefly, I took part in Campnanowrimo, I did a 30 day blog challenge, and most surprisingly to myself, I managed to use my organiser, Astrid, for the entire year! In fact, she has been stripped of old notes and the 2015 diary, and there are shiny new empty pages just waiting to be filled with plans for this year. When I began using Astrid in January 2015, I was nervous that she would end up the same way as so many previous diaries did, put to one side and forgotten. But we are still best buddies! In fact, I did a little makeover, using some free printables I found online:

12465652_10153157622497163_773484409_o Taking the time to do some small crafty projects over Christmas, reminded me just how much I love to create things. I wasn’t planning to make any resolutions this year, but I do hope to be more creative, and make boring things pretty!

I will be adding a few things to my vision board, and I will be setting my intentions and goals in the next few days. I have a feeling that 2016 is going to be very interesting, and I am going to do the exact opposite to what I tried to do in 2015 (which was make a plan) and I am going to go with the flow!

In other random news, I was very pleased to have just passed the 40k views mark on this blog over the last few days! I started the blog when I began my journey in 2011, and in that first year, my blog received a total of 251 views! In contrast to that, the views for 2015 came to just under 18k. They might seem like small numbers compared to some sites that receive thousands of views per day, but I think it’s quite an awesome achievement. My readers in 2015 came from a total of 139 different countries! Knowing that these words are read by amazing folk like you all over the world makes me want to really share things that will inspire, help and make you smile 🙂

I do hope to blog more often, I know that I slacked off towards the end of last year, when I got busy with creating the Earth Angel classes and with editing work.

Writing and Publishing Update

I want to share with you a decision I have made in the last few days, which I know won’t make me very popular, but hopefully you will understand…

For the last 5 years that I have been publishing and writing my books, I have published an average of 2 books a year, and I have been putting my calling to write and publish above everything else. Above my health, my finances, and my relationships. In September, my body decided enough was enough and made me focus on it, made me help it to heal, and amazing synchronicities happened in the following couple of months to help me with that, and I feel as though I have more energy now than I ever remember having in my life!

Over the last five years, I have worked in quite a few different jobs, I have worked on publishing books for others, and I’ve published ten of my own novels – but I haven’t spent much time marketing those books that I have brought into the world. I feel it’s time to press the pause button on writing any more of my own books, and to focus on the precious gifts I have written already. Because by doing so, I will also improve my relationships, as I will then have the time to see my friends and family, and have more fun! Continue reading →

The Twin Flame Resurrection has Arrived!

I am so pleased to let you all know that the latest book in the Earth Angel series is now available on Amazon!! The Twin Flame Resurrection is in paperback and on Kindle, and will also be on Smashwords this weekend, which covers the other eReaders. Please do leave a review on Amazon for the book if you enjoy it, and if you’ve enjoyed the others in the series, please do take a few minutes to leave reviews for each book, it helps other readers to see that the rest of the series is as good as the first book.

It was a very tight deadline in the end, involving many late nights, but so very worth it! I can now concentrate on writing the next book, which will be available by Christmas!

To celebrate the release, I wanted to share with you a new video, on how to cut the cords with your Twin Flame. Which is also the birthdate of a few very special people that I love. (They know who they are!) The print version will be available as soon as humanly possible after that date. And without any further ado, here is the cover of the book, thanks to the genius madappledesigns:

What do you think? The story follows on from The Twin Flame Retreat, but follows five different Earth Angels as they find, lose and are reunited with their Twin Flames. Some of the characters are from The Earth Angel Training Academy, and we also visit favourite characters and get to find out what they’re up to.

The next book in the series, which I am currently writing, will be available by Christmas, and I will reveal the title, cover and release date as soon as I can for that one too!

Just keep writing… Just keep writing…

I love Dory. I have a memory just like her, and I’m excited about her new movie coming out – Finding Dory. But don’t worry this post isn’t about a forgetful blue fish.

Two weeks ago I finished writing my last novel, called The Twin Flame Resurrection, and have since been doing the basic first edit ready to send it out to my beta readers and get feedback before the first main edit. I plan to get it published by October, which is quite a tight deadline, but completely possible.

But just to make things interesting, I have decided to keep writing, and start the next Twin Flame book in the series, tomorrow. I did the same thing last year – within two weeks of finishing The Twin Flame Reunion, I wrote The Twin Flame Retreat, and I wrote it in a crazy two weeks.

After reading a very interesting post by Russell Blake on how to sell loads of books, I was interested to see that his 6th point was to do 25% marketing, and 75% writing. I would say that currently, I have been doing the exact opposite. I market a lot more than I write. And I have decided to change this around.

Also, my numbers for the Earth Angel series have changed. I am now thinking that there is likely to be thirteen books in the series in total, and if I were to stick to my current formula of publishing one Earth Angel book per year, I figure it will be 2023 before the final book is released.

That is just too far away!

So, the only way to increase the number I publish each year and get the series out faster is to write more than I market (and procrastinate). I am also desperate to get writing another trilogy I have in mind and more books in the Visionary Collection. In which case, I really do need to just keep writing.

So there may be a few less blog posts over the coming month again, as I throw myself fully into another novel. I have to admit, I haven’t got a clue what will be happening in this one, which characters will appear, what dramas will unfold or who might not make it to the final page, but I’m excited to be jumping back into that world so quickly, because everything seems to flow so much better when there isn’t too much of a gap in between books.

Twin Flame Retreat Launches

On Saturday the 25th April, I was in Peace of Stone in Monmouth all day offering Oracle Card readings. I met some lovely new Earth Angels, and was pleased to see some who had attended the talk at Harts Barn! Have had some wonderful feedback so far and am pleased to have helped. Sold a few copies of the new book, and caught up with my lovely Faerie friend, Niki, before I leave for Scotland.

My beautiful Angel friend and editor, Liz Lockwood, also joined me for the day, and it was brilliant to have a good catch up and to present her with a signed copy of the book that she now jointly owns the copyright of.

Then yesterday I spent the day and evening in Zenith in Leominster. I did several Oracle Card readings, met some wonderful Earth Angels and then had a fantastic evening chatting about Twin Flames. One lady who had a reading with me in March has now read all of the books in the Earth Angel series! I said I’d better get on with the next one!

All in all, I’ve had a great time this month launching my new book, and have had some great reviews and thoughts on it so far. The biggest question I’ve had so far is ‘When is the next one being released?!’

I promise I will let you know the answer to that as soon as I know!

New Cover Reveal!!

I know I have been very quiet lately, and I do apologise – things have been so busy! And April looks to be even busier, because I plan to release my latest book – The Twin Flame Retreat – on the 25th April! (Hopefully in both paperback and Kindle on that date). This new book is the direct sequel to The Twin Flame Reunion, and follows five new characters as they meet their Twin Flames.

My incredible amazing sister, the genius behind madappledesigns, has worked her magic again and has created the new cover, which I am so excited to share with you! Are you ready? Drum roll please!

And because she is just that awesome, Liz has created the 3D version of the cover, which I must admit, made me squeal like a very happy Faerie!

Isn’t it beautiful? I cannot wait for you to read it! I have really enjoyed writing and creating this latest instalment to the series, and going by the beta feedback so far, I think everyone will enjoy it!

I will post updates on how the publishing is going throughout April!
