In the last few weeks, I’ve had a few requests for Earth Angel Oracle Readings in response to my reading for those in the Runner Stage. This video is the first of a few I have to release over the next week or two, I hope you enjoy and that it holds some helpful advice for you too. Continue reading
Hello beautiful Earth Angels! Apologies for the blog being ultra quiet recently, I have been busy with the new book, which is being read by my Beta readers right now (cue biting nails!) and also I have been on a bit of a self-discovery journey with my health, which I will be blogging about soon, because I really want to share the things I have discovered in being my own health detective. If it’s helped me, it may help others! Continue reading
Just a quick update to let you know that I will be doing a short talk at the Earth Mysteries Group meeting in Coleford this Thursday night at 7.30pm! If you’re in the area, pop in, it’s free entry. I will have books available for sale, if you want to get a signed copy or have a chat about aliens, then come along.
For more details see the piece in the Forest Review 🙂
While sitting on a bench halfway up a hill the other day, (to catch my breath, it was a steep hill!) I realised just how much time I spend escaping from my reality.
When I was younger, I read books every single day, and would happily escape into fictional worlds full of witches and magic and Californian beaches and parties.
Then as I grew older, I loved movies, and spent hours in my room watching videos, getting them second-hand from video rental shops.
I also played video games, racing cars was my favourite kind of game, seeing if I could beat the other competitors on the track.
In the late nineties, the internet arrived, with its allure of chatrooms and emailing, which then consumed much of my time and attention.
Of course, I did actually go outside and interact with real live people throughout my childhood and my teens, but I did spend quite a chunk of time ‘somewhere else’ and not quite on this plane of reality.
In my twenties, I discovered the world of spirituality and mind, body and spirit books, that then taught me about other dimensions and universes that existed, and I explored those topics through my writing, which was also my way of escaping my reality here on this planet.
Now, it’s mainly social media that is my escape. Only with the pretence attached that it’s a more social form of anti-social behaviour, because I’m not escaping into a fictional world of fictional characters, but into a digital world full of actual people.
While sitting on the bench, all of this was running through my mind, and I forced myself to put away my phone (I was having a conversation on Facebook with my friend) and I just sat there, and took in the sunlight, the shape of the leaves above me, the sounds that I could hear, and the smells. I wanted to beat myself up over having escaped so much over the years that I had missed out on being here, fully present, in each moment. But then I realised something.
Escapism may be the only reason why I am still here.
It’s no secret that there have been many times throughout my life when I have found it difficult to remain on this planet. Indeed, many Old Souls and other Earth Angels often feel this way. It can be a dark and scary place to be, and the idea that we are here to make any kind of difference can be incredibly overwhelming. So reading, writing books and poetry, watching films, playing videos games, being on Social Media – they are my coping mechanisms. In a similar way that alcohol, drugs, meditation, overeating, etc are coping mechanisms that others employ.
I would like to be more present, to be in the moment with whatever is happening or however I am feeling. But I recognise and accept that in order for me to be here, I also need healthy doses of escapism, in the form of fictional worlds and chatting with friends in various parts of the world, watching stupid cat videos and even blogging my random thoughts right here for all to see.
So next time you find yourself vegging out in front of the TV or computer, don’t beat yourself up over it. Just enjoy the escapism and let the break from reality refresh you and help you to be more productive and present at other times.
Now if you’ll excuse me, I’m off to the world of Faeries and Starpeople to continue writing my new book!
I have been a whirlwind of activity these last few days, creating a schedule for April of events to celebrate the launch of The Twin Flame Retreat. I have released the schedule, and I will post updates if anything changes!
I would love to see you there! The link to the official event page on Facebook is here, please do join in if you can. Here are the details for the video competition if you want to enter:
To enter, all you need to do is record a video review of your favourite Earth Angel Series book! Or about the whole series if you have read them all!
The video must be at least one minute long, and posted as a public video on youtube. To submit your entry, post the URL to the video in the comments below when it is live. If you have a paperback copy, please do hold it up in the video.
The winner will be chosen at random, and will receive a signed paperback copy of The Twin Flame Retreat! This competition is open to everyone, I will mail it to any country.
I look forward to watching them all.
This competition is not connected to Facebook in any way, there is only the one prize and you may only submit one entry per person.
Up until 2012, I had a fear of public speaking. Not just a fear, but every time I got in front of a groups of people larger than four or five, I would go bright red, my knees would shake like crazy, my heart would hammer, and I would stutter over my words. If I didn’t have a script in front of me, or some kind of prompt, I wouldn’t remember what to say.
I had tried to get over the fear, but because it was a physical reaction, not just an emotional or mental one, I figured it was just part of who I was, and that I might never be free of it.
In 2005, during a short stint in Uni, I found myself in need of cash, and staring at a poster for a public speaking competition. The prize was £160. To enter you had to write and give a five-minute talk on any subject. I chose to talk about Geopathic Stress, because I had just come across the subject a few months before and I found it really interesting. I wrote a script and I rehearsed it.
On the day, I sat in the front of the lecture room, which wasn’t full, so there was probably only about 30 or 40 people there. I tried to keep calm but my heart was hammering away and my palms were sweating. Then the guy who did his talk before me, about dreams, decided to include me in his talk, by presenting me with a bunch of flowers. Cue bright red cheeks. When I finally got up there to speak, I had to grip onto the sides of the lectern because my knees were pure jelly. I stumbled through my talk, (getting my revenge on the dreaming flower man, by using him to demonstrate muscle-testing for Geopathic Stress lines) and was relieved when it was all over. We had to wait while the judges went out the back to deliberate, but by then, I didn’t really mind what the outcome was, I was just glad that I had done it. Even if it had been a bit embarrassing.
Amazingly, I won the competition. They liked the unusual topic, and I think it helped that none of them had even heard of it before, and so learnt something new. You’d think that winning the competition would be enough to get me over my fear.
Unfortunately, it did not have that effect. (Though the prize money was very useful)
So fast forward to 2012, when I attended a 4networking meeting. During the meeting, I had to stand up and do a 40 second pitch about my business. Cue bright red cheeks, jelly legs, stuttering and reliance on a script. Despite this, the guy running the meeting said if I joined the network, I should sign up to do a 4sight – which was a 10 to 15 minute talk on something interesting (not a business pitch). Gulp.
Determined to get my business off the ground, and to get over my fear once and for all, I did just that. I joined the network, and I signed up to do a 4sight. But no matter how many 40 second pitches I did, I still couldn’t eat my breakfast before I spoke, and I still couldn’t pick up my teacup for a few minutes afterwards because my hands would be shaking. I had no idea how I was going to speak for 15 minutes, and remain standing and not come out with gibberish.
Then, just days before my first 4sight, the Angels heard my pleas for help and sent me a video on youtube. It was an EFT video on how to get rid of your fear of public speaking. I followed the video, and then the next time I did a 40 second pitch, I noticed my hands and knees weren’t as shaky and I stumbled less over my words. I did the tapping routine a couple more times, then on the day of my first talk, after not enough sleep, thanks to a late night event the night before, I bounced into the meeting at 7.30am, ate a whole bar of chocolate, decorated the room with angel and faerie paraphernalia, got dressed in my faerie outfit complete with wings, stuffed down all my breakfast, then delivered a talk about Earth Angels that had the whole room in stitches. They laughed so much that I didn’t even have time to complete the talk. Afterwards, everyone wanted to know what I was on, because I had so much energy and enthusiasm.
Throughout the whole thing, the only physical symptom I had was a slight quiver in my knee.
Since my 4networking days, I haven’t done much public speaking, a couple of talks on Earth Angels, and a pitch to a film networking group, and though I still get a little nervous at times, I really quite enjoy it. Making the oracle card videos has also helped me to get used to speaking, even though my audience is just a camera.
If you have a fear or phobia, I would recommend trying out EFT, there are loads of videos on youtube. Here is the one that helped me:[youtube http://youtu.be/dVFRI93lC5M]
In the last week, I’ve recorded and posted two Oracle Card readings, and both questions were about Twin Flames. I know there are many Earth Angels out there who are having difficulties with their Flames, and I think the messages in these readings are relevant to a lot of us.
As I edited the videos, I had to laugh, and tell myself – “That bit was a message to you.” I find it much easier to give advice, than to take it. And taking my own advice? I find that even harder to do. And yet, I know that if I listen to myself and go within, I already have the answers to my questions, I already know what I need to do.
So I see these readings as reminders rather than advice. Reminders of what you already know, deep within.
If you would like to ask a question and receive your reminder, please do email me at email@example.com.
Since moving, I have not posted any oracle card readings, I do apologise for that. I did record a couple with an amazing Australian guy I met, but it was quite windy on the beach, and unfortunately, the sound wasn’t very good. If I find a way to fix the videos, I will post them at some point.
So last night, I recorded an oracle reading at my friends house, to answer a question that was sent to me by a lovely Earth Angel called Rosa. I was joined by the beautiful Mishy, you can watch the reading by clicking below:
If you would like to ask Aria, Amethyst or Velvet a question, please do send them to me at firstname.lastname@example.org and I will record the answer. But also, as I point out in this reading, the most important thing is to listen to your own intuition and inner guidance, because deep down within, you know the answers to all of your questions!
As always, please like and share this post with your friends, it is very much appreciated.
It’s been a while since I did an oracle reading, partly because I’ve been so busy, but mainly because I haven’t had any questions sent in for a while. So if you would like to ask Amethyst, Aria or Velvet a question, please do email it to me – email@example.com.
A lovely Earth Angel called Ana sent me a question, and I recorded Velvet’s answer last week. You can see the video below:[youtube http://youtu.be/RkHyS5YVCBI]
Ana then sent me a very long email in reply to the reading, telling me how she had related to it and how it had helped her to see things in a different light. I do love to receive feedback and to hear how a reading might have had an impact. Looking forward to receiving more questions!
Yesterday, a friend of mine forwarded me a link to the website of a lady called Dolores Cannon. Dolores is a hypnotherapist, who has spent the last 40 years working with thousands of clients, taking many of them into their past lives. She has written 17 books, which she has written as non-fiction. Her latest book is The Three Waves of Volunteers, and sounds very much like the concept of Earth Angels. The concept that there are beings from other planets, dimensions and realms who have come to Earth to help with the Global Awakening. Just doing a little Googling, I found many comments that she is merely a ‘great science fiction writer’ and that her work is nothing but imagination and fantasy. I have a great respect for anyone who has the courage to stand up and say – this is what I have experienced, this is what I believe, and then putting it out into the world.
It got me thinking about why I prefer to write my books as fiction, even though they are written about topics that are very real to me, and there are situations and events and concepts within them that are very real. I think it’s because I prefer to be able to create freely. Non-fiction books usually have research and facts that need checking and backing up – in fiction, you can do whatever you wish. And as we live in a creative universe, I prefer to be free of these restrictions and write whatever I want. Also, I realised that though I may believe in the truth in my books, I don’t actually need anyone else to believe it. I am more than happy for my readers to looks at my books as fun stories, as interesting concepts and as pure fantasy. I do find, that many readers have found things in my books that resonate with them, and that inspire them to look for more information, and that is where the non-fiction books then come in very useful, because they can look for the texts that back up these new realisations.
A fabulous book I have just finished reading, is Infinite You by Pamala Oslie. I met Pamala in LA last February and attended one of her workshops. I bought her book – Life Colours, because I really resonated with what she said during the workshop. At the end of the workshop, she began telling us about her experience with parallel universes, and for the last year, I have recounted one of her stories to many people. That story is told in Infinite You, and I really would recommend it. Some of the concepts about parallel universes are much like the ideas that came to me back in 2007 when I came up with the concept of choosing your own reality. It was amazing to hear someone else validate these ideas, making me feel like I wasn’t just a little crazy. Choose Your Own Reality is the only non-fiction book I have written, and it’s a very short one, that I wrote in just a day. It contains a very simple method to choosing your own reality. (Choose Your Own Reality is now a bonus book at the end of The Doorway to PAM)
My current novel-in-progress has many real-life incidents and events in it, but I have fictionalised it so that it will be almost impossible to tell which bits actually happened and which parts didn’t. In some ways I have done this to protect the people who inspired the story, (including myself) but mainly it’s because I think books should primarily entertain and inspire people, and being restricted to recounting the truth (or at least, my perception of the truth) may jeopardise that.
So I’d like to do a shout-out to all the brave Earth Angels out there, including Dolores and Pamala, who are standing out from the crowd and who are helping the rest of us to Awaken with their words and their insights. You are truly remarkable beings, and you are doing an awesome job. Thank you.x
