I recently set up a Go Fund Me campaign to raise money to publish the next book in the Earth Angel series. Being a completely Indie Author, I have so far funded the publishing of all eight of my books myself, with the help of some beautiful people who want to see me succeed.
I created the campaign because I would love to invite my readers and fans to get involved, and to help me to bring the next book in the series into the world, and to also be able to get stock to do some Mind Body Spirit shows and get the books out there to even more people.
I guess the sensible thing to do, would have been to set a budget for each of my books, for the editing and publishing costs, so that I could see how much I had spent on each one. But I never did that. I am planning on writing a post on my publishing blog about budgeting for publishing a book, because if you approach publishing books as a hobby, you’ll end up just spending loads of money on unnecessary things, and it’ll end up really expensive. If you approach it as a business from the outset, then you are more likely to decide on a budget and stick to it, and also, if you keep better records of everything, it makes everything much easier comes tax return time!
I am so very thankful to everyone who has donated to the campaign so far, your support is very much appreciated. I plan to list all of the donors in the new book, which I haven’t begun editing yet, but do intend to release in March. If you would like to help me with the publishing costs, please know that every little bit helps and that I am very grateful to have your support.
I spent last weekend in the stunning Wye Valley, in the beautiful home of Annette and John of Wye Valley Healing. The intention was to write 20,000 words of my new novel, but the end result was closer to just … Continue reading →
Wondering what the hell a Nano Frenzy is? I will explain!
As I have set myself the task of publishing two books a year, I am in need of a book to publish this summer. And I haven’t written it yet. I have already had a couple of e-mails asking me where the next book is, so I thought I had better get going!
So having decided I would write my new book in April, I then received an e-mail from the beautiful folk at the Office of Letters and Light, telling me they are running Camp Nano in April this year! And you can set your own wordcount. Perfect!
So I promptly signed up, and set my wordcount to 75,000. Yes, that’s right, 75,000.
Oh and did I mention I will be doing a couple of Mind Body Spirit fairs, working, and getting on with the marketing for my other books, too?
Have they perfected the science of human cloning yet? I may need another me…
On the 20th and 21st October (this weekend!!) I will be in the beautiful Pittville Pump Room in Cheltenham. I will have a stand at the Mind, Body & Soul Weekend to sell my books and cards, and I’m very much looking forward to it!
Please come along and say hi, you can do the Earth Angel Quiz to see which realm you’re from, and not only purchase my book, but also oracle cards, bookmarks and badges!
Well. Last weekend was a whirlwind of events! It started off with my Are you an Earth Angel? 4sight at the 4N meeting in Monmouth. It went very well, though after the raucous laughter at the Chepstow meeting, I wasn’t prepared to just … Continue reading →

I have just completed my first Nano Summer Camp! Just stepped over the finish line minutes before the midnight deadline with 50074 words. Admittedly, my last few scenes probably won’t make the final cut of the book, but nevermind! Here … Continue reading →
My interview at the Ross Gazette came out this week, so I thought I’d put a screenshot of the virtual edition of the paper! Already I have had people get in touch with me, who are also readers or writers of Spiritual and Visionary Fiction. I’m hoping to meet more local people to create a regular spiritual group. Hopefully I will meet more people at the Monmouth Music Festival tomorrow, and at the Mind, Body, Spirit fair on the 23rd Sept in the Forest of Dean.
