Goodbye 2014! Hello 2015!

Happy New Year Everyone!

2014 was a weird year, both a long and a short one, a happy and a sad one. Just thought I would write a summary of the year, in order to acknowledge and release the old, to make way for the new that 2015 will bring. It’s a long post, so grab a cuppa!

I started the year with an amazing Harry Potter themed birthday party. I had mixed feelings about turning 30. Part of me was more than ready to say goodbye to my twenties, and another part of me was listing all of the things I had hoped to have done by this time but hadn’t. In truth, as I near my 31st birthday, I don’t really feel all that different, and when I tell people my age, it feels merely like a random number, than something that has any significance.

Also in January, I began my ‘Ask an Angel’ Oracle readings on my YouTube channel, inviting people to ask Aria, Amethyst or Velvet a question which I would then answer with their oracle cards. In 2014, I recorded twenty readings, and half of those were questions about Twin Flames, which is what inspired me to write more on the subject, as you can see from the many posts now on my blog.

My most popular blog post in January was my views on how to deal with criticism, after becoming the subject of derision in someone else’s blog.

In February, I embarked on the Man Brain Box Experiment, and though I only did it for a week, it did remind me that in fact, having a single focus make you far more productive than if you are to multi-task. I think it’s increasingly difficult, in this age of the internet and social media, to retain a single focus on anything, with so many demands for our attention (she says, surrounded by her phone, iPad and open tabs on her laptop) it can be difficult to shut out all the distractions and get on with something, and put everything you have into it. But I do think it’s worth it.

In March, I finally finished writing I’m Here, which I had started and stopped writing two Novembers previously and seemed to be stuck on. I was so happy to finally finish it, and when coming up with cover ideas, I had the inspiration to change the covers of three of my previous books, and bring them together into a collection. With the help of my awesome sister, I then set to work on getting the new covers of the Visionary Collection sorted out, and I released the whole collection, including the new book, in May. The paperbacks were delayed by technical issues, but finally came out by August.

In March I also had a few realisations on my plans, and on whose advice to listen to, and when to take it with a pinch of salt. I also discovered the wondrous joy of Scapple and had a go at using the Chronodex to organise my life.

In April I celebrated the 5 year anniversary of the birth of the first few words of the The Earth Angel Training Academy, and reviewed the journey with the book so far. I took part in the Wellness Symposium in Cirencester, I was nominated for the Versatile Blogger Award, and I revealed the new covers for the Visionary Collection for the first time.

In May I embarked on the I’m Here Book Tour, to celebrate the release of the new book, by giving away little cards all around the world, that contained a QR code allowing you to download a free PDF copy of the book. I had so much fun with this idea, and was really pleased with how it went. You can see the map of where the book was downloaded, and the link will remain active, so if you haven’t yet read I’m Here and would like to, please click here to download your free copy! If you have read it, and you enjoyed it, please do leave me a review on Amazon, I’d really appreciate it.

The tour continued with gusto throughout June, and in that month I teamed up with Sarah Vine, founder of the Earth Angel Sanctuary, to offer her members a free copy of The Earth Angel Training Academy, and I also wrote a letter to all Twin Flames, after seeing so many beautiful souls searching for answers on the subject.

In July, I attended the Healing Weekend, and had an amazing time, I recorded the first chapter of The Elphite as an audiobook, I recorded a video of some crazy deer in the garden, which went viral on YouTube (over 26k hits now!), I did a talk and sold books at the MBS Psychic Fayre in Newport, and I relaxed and went with the flow when things seemed to be going very wrong.

In August, the paperback editions of the Visionary Collection became available on Amazon, I was interviewed by Sarah Vine, and I embarked on a new adventure to the vibrant city of Brighton. I began to write more about Twin Flames, and at the very end of August, I started writing my latest book, The Twin Flame Reunion. I met one of my fans, Chip Jenkins, who is now one of my closest friends.

September was my quietest blogging month of 2014, due to my full time job, doing 50 hour weeks left me with little energy to write. I blogged about listening to your own intuition, and then at the end of the month, about knowing your own worth and not settling for less. The highlight of the month came in the form of a beautiful letter from a man who had decided that his life was worth living after reading The Earth Angel Training Academy.

In October, I took part in the Writer’s Blog Tour, I finished writing The Twin Flame Reunion and I started offering guidance sessions to fellow Earth Angels.

In November I released the cover for the Reunion, I blogged about the idea of changing our own fate, I started writing the next book in the Earth Angel series – The Twin Flame Retreat – and completed it in two weeks, and I released the Visionary Collection Kindle Boxset.

Okay, one month left!

In December, I celebrated winning Nanowrimo, even though I didn’t join in until the 16th November, I released the Earth Angel Series Boxset on Kindle, I started my Adventure with Astrid, and I decided to spend my Christmas in London, taking part in the Basket Brigade and volunteering for Crisis for Christmas. I also packed up and left Brighton, and am currently figuring out my next move.

So to sum up – a pretty busy year, lots of changes, challenges, high and low points, and I feel like 2015 will be the year where everything comes together and begins to make more sense. Or at least, that’s the hope!

I can see now that I achieved quite a few things, and I feel that in 2014 I created some very important connections that will make 2015 far more spectacular.

Happy New Year!

It was in the stars all along…

I had a funny realisation today. I was looking after my landlady’s shop for a few hours, while she had a much-needed break, and I was having a great time, chatting to customers and also to the tarot reader who was in today.

We got onto the subject of psychometry, (as you do) which is when you can pick up impressions from an object, because of the energy that has been attached to it.

I told her about a lucky charm keyring I bought, which brought me terrible luck whenever I wore it (I had turned it into a necklace). And I gave it to a lady who could do psychometry, and she said the person who had made it had attached the energy of bad luck to it. So I gave up wearing it and got rid of it, which was difficult to do, because it was expensive, and by a designer I really liked.

I got my purse out of my bag to show the tarot reader what I meant, because my purse is by the same company. I couldn’t remember the name of the company, so I searched the purse, and there it was, imprinted in the leather:

So it turns out, that I have been carrying and using a purse for the last 7 years, that bore the name of the place I was meant to move to.

Coincidence? Angelic intervention? Meaningless? Meant to be? What do you think?

A Magickal Adventure…

First Words

Hello! How utterly different life can become in such a short space of time. As I mentioned in my last blog post, it was time to begin a new chapter in my life, as my Twin Flame and I parted ways. I didn’t blog during our last couple of weeks together, as apart from being busy packing and seeing friends before I left, I was feeling quite raw emotionally, and didn’t know how to share that with you without losing it completely. Leaving last Tuesday was one of the hardest things I have done in my life so far, as I know anyone out there who has met their Flame will understand. It took a long time to finally let go, and to drive away. Despite having come back together again in the past, there was a feeling that it really would be the last time we would be together in that way, which made it harder still.

But I did leave, and I made my way to my nan’s house, near Bournemouth, where I stayed the night, then after stowing some of my belongings in her garage, I continued on to Brighton. Despite feeling tired and a bit weepy, I found my way, and managed to find a car park and the place where I had been offered somewhere to sleep for the night. That evening I was invited to dinner by my beautiful fan and now very good friend, Chip Jenkins. We ate and discussed our Flames, and had a very girly evening that went on into the early hours! I presented her with her prize for being such a fabulous distributor for the I’m Here Book Tour, which she was thrilled with.

Brighton Seafront

On Thursday, I started my mission of finding some part-time work that will keep things flowing while I write my next book, and I fell in love with the tiny streets full of independent, funky shops. I met lots of people, including the awesome couple who own and run Chocaffinitea (if you are in the area, you need to visit them and try the reindeer tea!), Hannah, a lovely girl (definitely an incarnated elemental) who works in Lush, a tarot reader in RT Home, Sascha, the psychic lady in Bell, Book and Candle and many others! By the end of the day, I had got myself a work trial lined up, in a little cafe in the south laines. I had also found a possible room to rent, and lined up a viewing for later in the day.

Because I had a few hours before the viewing, I decided to visit Lewes, because there were possible jobs there too, as well as rooms to rent. I had a nice little wander around and had food in Bill’s restaurant. Though Lewes was very picturesque, it just didn’t have the same energy as Brighton, and I decided then that I would rather live in Brighton if it was possible. I viewed the room later in the evening, and after chatting to the landlord for so long, it was getting late so I ended up couchsurfing there!

The following day, I did my work trial, and upon the completion of it was offered a position, which I happily accepted, and because my new boss is such a sweet guy, he offered his currently empty driveway to me as a parking place for my car! Later in the afternoon, I found myself back in RT Home, (after celebrating my new job with reindeer tea first of course!) and chatted again to the tarot reader. While chatting about how I had a job, now I just needed a place to live, the lady who owns the shop, Joni, joined in the conversation to say that she had a room she was renting out that she hadn’t got round to advertising yet. So later on Friday evening, after a tasty dinner in the Harvester on the seafront, I went to Joni’s house to see the room.

Yet again, I was there for so long, that Joni very kindly offered I stay there for the night (having been unable to find a couchsurfing place for the weekend) and so after a crazy little journey to retrieve my car, park it on my new bosses driveway, then get the bus back here, I stayed in the room for the night.

By the morning, I told Joni that if she was happy to have me there, I’d love to rent it.

And the rest, as they say, is history!

My new Home

So in two and a half days, I found a job, a room to rent, and a place to park my car. I was actually quite impressed! I seem to have much more energy here, and things are just flowing so well, I really couldn’t have predicted any of this. It seems that I really have been paddling upstream for the last few months, and now, as I go with the flow, it is all clicking into place.

The spiritual community and writing scene in Brighton seems to be pretty extensive, with events and meetings happening all the time. I plan on attending as many as possible, and really getting involved. In fact, later tonight I will be checking out a writing group, so I will let you know how that goes! Now that my computer is back in its rightful place on my desk, and I have settled in, I will get back to my regularly scheduled blogging!

Wishing you all a wonderful Wednesday! Until next time…

A New Chapter

quote

Apologies for the lack of blogging recently, there have been many topics I could have written about, but my mind has not been in the right place. It seemed fitting, with the completion signified by the Supermoon tomorrow to write this post on ending one chapter and beginning a new one.

For a while now, things have been a little bit up and down, and last weekend it was time to make some big decisions and to move things forward. So, although it has not been easy, and I don’t doubt that there will be more rough patches ahead, my partner and I have decided to go our separate ways. Now, I could have stayed somewhere local, but I know that if we are within proximity of each other, we will end up back in the same cycle, so I have made the decision to move further away, to…

Brighton!

Why? Well, one of my lovely fans, Chip, lives there and reckons I will love it. I’ve never been there before, and it seems like a great place. That’s pretty much all the reasons I have. It’s also four hours away from here, which means that it will be as clean a break as possible.

This shift has been in the air around us for some time now, but I have been resisting it. And in my resistance, I have been stuck in many ways, and things haven’t been flowing. I decided it was time to go with this flow, and stop fighting it. Hopefully it will take me on new and magical paths, I guess I will have to wait and see.

No matter what happens, Jon and I will always have a special connection to one another, and the last four years will still be the most magical ones of my existence. It is thanks to our relationship that I was able to pursue my dream of writing and publishing books, and I am so very thankful for the time we have spent together.

I will post more updates soon, when I begin my new adventure…
